Joseph's Tea Room Policies

Welcome to Joseph's Tea Room! Our tea room is designed to be a peaceful place to relax, connect, and enjoy a memorable afternoon tea experience. We kindly ask that all guests help us maintain this welcoming atmosphere by being considerate of those around them.

Children

Children 5 years of age and older are welcome.  If you have younger children you would like to bring, please call us at 352-777-5463 to discuss.  

Pets

Pets are not permitted. Service animals that are medically necessary are welcome as required by law.

Reservations & Cancellations

To ensure the best experience for all of our guests, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible of any changes to your reservation, including party size or food allergies.

  • A $15 per person fee will be charged for same-day cancellations, no-shows, and guests who do not attend without advance notice.

  • Reductions in party size made upon arrival, without prior notice, may be treated as no-shows and will be subject to the $15 per person fee for each absent guest.

  • For reservations of 10 or more guests: If a same-day cancellation or significant reduction in party size occurs after food preparation has begun, the absent guests may be charged the full menu price of the pre-prepared meal(s), rather than the standard $15 no-show fee.

Gratuity

A 20% gratuity is the required minimum for all parties of 6 or more.

By making a reservation and/or dining with us, you acknowledge and agree to these policies.

Children Etiquette while at Joseph's Tea:

While we welcome children over 5 years old, we do expect that all children be on their best behavior at Joseph's Tea Room. Children must stay seated at their table for the duration of their reservation, unless of course they need to use a restroom.  All children should be careful while handling our fine china and hot tea. Adults are encouraged to help children that need it with their meal and tea service.  Adults are responsible for watching the child with them at all times.

The Tea Room is not a place for running, jumping, skipping, dancing, climbing, crawling, or using loud voices.

At Joseph's Tea we strive to have a beautiful, relaxing, and rejuvenating environment for all of our guests to enjoy.  Thank you for helping us achieve that for everyone's enjoyment!  

Deposit and Cancellation Terms and Conditions:

All reservations require a valid credit card to book.  All final payment is due after service onsite.  The credit card on file is only charged in the event of a late cancellation or in the event of a no show.  The late cancellation/No Show fee is $15 per person.

Cancellation time frames for deposit refund:
1 - 6 people requires 24 hours' notice
7 - 15 people requires 1 weeks' notice
16 - 29 people requires 3 weeks' notice
30 - 90 people requires 4 weeks' notice 

Deposits for parties of 10 or more people are required. The deposit is $10.00 per
person. For example: a 20-person party deposit is $200.00 which comes off your
final bill day of the event. The only time this deposit is not refunded is in the event
of cancellation under the timeline above for party size. In this example for a party of
20 people, we would need a minimum of 2 weeks' notice for cancellation to get the
deposit refunded.  Parties cancelled without proper notice forfeit the deposit. 

Final Headcount is due one week prior to event along with any food allergies or
dietary requests.  All day of no-shows that food has already been prepared for must
be paid for in full.  If food has not yet been prepared, then we reserve the right to
charge a $15 no show fee for each guest that was guaranteed and did not attend.
